Accessibility Statement
Last updated 27 October 2026
We want this website to work for everyone. This statement sets out the standards we hold ourselves to, what we have already done, where we still fall short and how to tell us if something is not working for you.
1. Our Commitment
TCW — The Compliance Workbook Ltd, company number 08760486 — wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people with visual, hearing, cognitive, motor or speech impairments, people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation or other assistive technology, and people working on slower connections or older devices.
We are a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us. We nevertheless hold ourselves to the same benchmark: the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
2. What We Have Done
On this website we have:
- made the main navigation, menus and forms operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
- checked colour contrast for text and interface elements against the WCAG thresholds;
- used headings in a logical order, so screen reader users can move around a page by section;
- given meaningful images alternative text, and hidden purely decorative images from screen readers;
- made sure information is not conveyed by colour alone — our green and blue "Signal" tones and amber and red "Alert" tones are always paired with words or labels;
- allowed text to be enlarged without content disappearing or overlapping;
- provided reduced-motion support so animations and film-style backgrounds can stop for people who are sensitive to movement;
- used standard, semantic HTML and ARIA only where it genuinely helps assistive technology.
3. Known Limitations
We are not claiming perfection. We are aware of the following and are working through them in order of how much they affect people:
- some case-study and insight downloads in PDF were produced before our current standards and are not fully tagged for screen readers;
- a small number of older photographs and graphics have short or generic alternative text that we are improving as we revisit each article;
- embedded video from YouTube and Wistia is controlled by those providers. Captions depend on what the provider offers for each video, and we ask for captions wherever we can.
If you are affected by any of these, email us and we will give you the information in an accessible form instead.
4. Reporting a Problem and Asking for Information
We welcome reports of accessibility problems, including from people who are not our customers. Please email info@TCWin.co.uk with:
- the web address of the page you had difficulty with;
- what you were trying to do; and
- the assistive technology or browser you were using, if you know it.
We aim to acknowledge reports within five working days and to reply with a plan within twenty. If you would prefer information in another format — large print, plain text, braille or an accessible document — ask and we will provide it.
5. Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission enforces the Equality Act 2010 in England, Scotland and Wales. If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service on 0808 164 0808 or at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
6. Technical Details and Review
This website is built with modern web standards and is checked as we work using keyboard navigation, screen readers and automated accessibility testing, alongside manual review of layout, colour and motion.
This statement was published on 27 October 2026 and will be reviewed at least annually, and whenever the website changes significantly.
